Document Description
The objective of this project is to conduct a field demonstration of an integrated pre- and post-combustion NOx emission control system for biogas-powered engines at a dairy farm. The proposed NOx emission control process consists of a hydrogen production system for pre-combustion NOx control and an absorber to remove NOx and other pollutants from the engine exhaust. The hydrogen production system is a skid mounted system with an 8' by 10' footprint. The skid will be assembled and tested at CHA Corporation's facility. Upon successful testing it will be installed in an existing 40' shipping container housing the current gas handling equipment. The exhaust gas absorbers will be installed on an 10'x20' concrete pad. The pad will be located in a graded area adjacent to existing idle gas treatment equipment. The proposed integrated system will provide a reliable system for complying with SCAQMD Rule 1110.2 and CARB 2007 emissions standards.
