Document Description
Improve the utilities to enhance visitor services. Work will: Upgrade the 200amp panel to a 400amp panel to provide additional service for RV hookups: Trench approximately 660 linear feet (lf), as follows, to install RV electrical pedestals at 6 existing campsites and replacing camp host service. - Install approximately 350lf of electrical service from the new meter panel to the main junction pull-box; trench approximately 12"wx30"dx170lf & 80lf from the main junction pull-box to feed 3 RV electrical pedestals, campsites 5 thru 10; - Extend existing asphalt campsite spur by 8lf at campsites 5 & 10; - Relocate picnic tables and BBQs to facilitate; - Remove non-native Chinese Pistasche tree at campsite #10; -Replace approximately 40lf of existing 1" conduit and wire to existing pedestal at camp host site; Excavate 4" to install 8'x10' concrete slab with 2 support posts embedded in concrete footings, 24" diameter and 48" deep, for steel-framed shade canopy for a solar-powered automatic pay machine. Solar panels will be installed on canopy roof. Excavate 3 holes approximately 30" diameter by 48" deep for concrete footings to install 3 solar LED street lights around perimeter of boat ramp parking lot.

Project consists of minor alterations of existing facilities involving negligible expansion of use beyond current levels and is included as "utility repairs or minor upgrades" on the Department of Parks and Recreations exempt activities, in accordance with CCR § 15300.4; a replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities on the same site as the structure replaced and with the same purpose and capacity; construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures; and the minor pubic alteration in the condition of land which does not involve the removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees.
