Document Description
Project will upgrade the existing electrical for the well pump at the day use area at Caswell Memorial State Park to eliminate public health concerns. Work will remove 2 existing power poles; excavate a 112'LX4"WX18"D trench and install 200 amp wiring; install service meter and main distribution panel on Day Use well & pump house. All excavation will be monitored by a DPR approved archaeologist and biologist.

Reasons for Exemption
Project consists of the repair, or minor alteration of existing public facilities involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency's determination; replacement or reconstruction of exisitng facilities where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced; and minor public alterations in the conditon of land, water, and/or vegetation which do not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees except for forestry or agricultural purposes, included as "utility repairs and minor upgrades" in the Department of Parks and Recreation's list of exempt activities, in accordance with CCR section 15300.4.
