Document Description
Create a defensible space zone and a shaded fuel break in two phases along Vista Point Road in Castle Crags State Park to improve public safety in the event of wildfires. Phase 1: Vista Point Fire Safe Zone - create a defensible space zone extending up to 330 ft from the edge of the parking lot's perimeter. Phase 2: Vista Point Road Shaded Fuel Break-From entry kiosk to Fire Safe Zone- Selectively remove fire fuels, 100ft on either side of road for 2 miles to provide safe ingress/egress to Vista Point parking lot during wildfires.
