Document Description
The project site is located on the south side of 24th Street, approximately mid-block between Sanchez Street and Vicksburg Street in San Francisco's Noe Valley neighborhood. The proejct involves removal of the parking lot, kiosk, and seating area; and construction of a public park (Noe Valley Town Square) on the site. It includes the following activities: 1) permanent closure and removal of the existing public parking lot, including the parking kiosk (no longer in use) and landscaped seating area; 2) excavation at depths of up to seven feet to remove soil that could contain elevated lead and petroleum levels resulting from prior automotive repair use of the site; 3) construction of play areas and a stage; 4) construction of a storage building and a restroom building; 5) installation of concrete paving, including Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessible pathways.
