Calfire is proposing to remodel the inmate shower room at Mount Bullion Conservation Camp, 5730 Mount Bullion Access Road, Mariposa, CA 95338. This facility is located approximately 3.4 miles north of Highway 49. The existing inmate shower room is in need of an upgrade. This project proposes to remove and replace the tile on the floor and walls, add an additional ceiling ventilation fan, and replace the toilets, sinks and shower heads. Remodel work will be confined to the interior of the structure. No alteration to the exterior is proposed. The environmental setting for the Mount Bullion Conservation Camp is as follows: the Wildlife Habitat Relationship type is Blue Oak-Foothill Pine, the soils are classified as Boomer cobbly loam, and the elevation is approximately 3,000 feet with an east facing aspect.
