Document Description
The proposed project is the 32nd Annual San Diego International Triathlon, which will take place throughout the North Embarcadero Harbor Island, Point Loma, and in San Diego Bay on Sunday, June 29, 2014, and on Embarcadero Marina Park North on June 28 and June 29, 2014. The District will provide event sponsorship and financial assistance for the event, a triathlon race. The event will offer two race courses: an international course and a sprint course. The international course and the sprint course will both start at the western end of Spanish Landing Park and end at Embarcdero Marina Park North, just behind Seaport Village. The international course will include a 1,000-meter swim in San Diego Bay near Spanish Landing Park, a 30-kilometer bicycle ride to Cabrillo National Monument and back, and a 10-kilometer point-to-point run along Harbor Island and the North Embarcadero. THe Sprint course will include a 500-meter swim in San Diego Bay near Spanish Landing Park, a 20-kilometer bicycle ride to Cabrillo National Monument and back, and a 6-kilometer point-to-point run along Harbor Island and the North Embarcadero.
