Document Description
The project will construct various storm water capture devices along S. Vermont Avenue and selected tributary streets between Gage and 75th Street including parkway swales, tree well watering devices, permeable pavement alleys and a median island retrofits. The main objective of the project is to reduce polluted urban runoff in order to improve water quality, and to provide environmental and aesthetic benefits to the community. The project is located in the public right-of-way of a 0.5-mile stretch of the eastern half of this major street and is a demonstration project for green street elements and that is intended to alleviate local flooding, improve non-motorized transportation mobility, and provide urban greening.
