Document Description
The Nature Reserve of Orange County (NROC) has proposed aerial weed mapping over a period of 12 days in May-June of 2014. Populations of a minimum of 30 invasive plant species will be recorded digitally by a team of two botanists and a helicopter pilot from the air at an altitude of 30' to 150' (pending habitat sensitivity and air-safety guidelines) as points, lines, or polygons based on stand shape and size. This project will comprehensively document the population size and spatial distribution of over 30 invasive plant species located within NROC's Coastal Subregion Reserve.
