Document Description
The City of Folsom proposes to modify the East Natoma Street / Briggs Ranch Drive Intersection to allow and accommodate a northbound right-turn movement. Currently, the T intersection has two allowable turning movements: eastbound East Natoma Street to southbound Briggs Ranch Drive right turns and northbound Briggs Ranch Drive to westbound East Natoma Street left turns. The southeastern intersection corner was originally designed to prohibit northbound right turns, both by geometry and regulation, but many motorists continue to make the turn on a regular basis. In order to accommodate a permissible right turn, the existing corner curb will be demolished and replaced with a new curb with a larger turning radius.
