Document Description
City has prepared a Draft 2014 Housing Element. The previous Housing Element (2009-2014) included a series of implementation programs that resulted in an Affordable Housing Chapter as part of the zoning portion of the Municipal Code. Such programs addressed transitional and supportive housing, emergency shelters, reasonable accommodation as well as priority water and sewer services for affordable housing. The planning period for this element will be from January 1, 2014 through June 30, 2019 as designated by the State. The City has removed implementation programs that are implemented and proposed a series of other programs (5) which seek to emphasize scattered infill sites, look for development of multi-family projects as well improve utility information for development.
