NOP - Notice of Preparation
Present Land Use
SAFCA is proposing to implement flood system improvements to reduce flood risk along the Sacramento River, American River, Natomas East Main Drainage Canal, and Arcade Creek. SAFCA, in response to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers withdrawing its levee accreditation for the levee systems which include the American River north and south levees, the NEMDC east levee, the Arcade Creek north and south levees downstream of Marysville Boulevard, the Sacramento River east levee from the mouth of the American River to Freeport, and the Beach Lake levee, is evaluating actions that would be needed to re-accredit these levee systems. SAFCA has divided the project into three categories of components.
