Document Description
California American Water (CalAm) proposes to construct, operate, and decommission subject to a lease termination and abandonment agreement to be considered at a future Commission meeting, a temporary test slant well including vertical monitoring wells and related infrastructure. The test wellhead vault will be located approximately 650 feet from the existing shoreline and outside the Commission's jurisdiction. The test well will extend from the wellhead vault approximately 1,000 feet into Monterey Bay, beneath the seafloor. The State Lands Commission action is an approval of a 3-year General Lease - Right-of-Way Use through December 16, 2017.
