Document Description
The project involves a City-initiated General Plan Amendment to update the City's Housing Element as required by state law. The Housing Element update identifies the potential for development of up to 149 new units and rehabilitation of up to 35 existing housing units at full build out of the City's existing vacant lot inventory. The projected number of units considers the development of all existing vacant lots under current land use designations and zoning. The proposed update would not designate any additional land in the city for housing and would not increase the allowable density of any land designated for housing. In addition, the proposed Housing Element does not include any site-specific designs or proposals and does not grant any entitlements for development. The Element contains goals and policies designed to provide a range of housing type.
