The proposed project includes improvements to the existing Lace Lichen Trail and construction of new trail segments to provide a continuous 0.75 mile trail from the Point Lobos State Natural Reserve entrance area to the Sea Lion Point parking lot. Currently many park visitors walk on the park road. The improved and extended trail would provide enhanced pedestrian access to the coast and a firm and stable trail surface year-round.
