Document Description
The proposed project involves exterior remodeling of the patio outside of the Bay Tower Lounge (BTL) at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina. The proposed project will install two (2) fire features and one (1) water wall feature. All new features will be built on existing floors and walls. A new gas line will run to both fire features from an existing gas meter. The new gas line will be attached to the existing hotel patio walls, except on the east side where approximately 40 feet of pipe will be trenched to run the gas line tunnel under the sidewalk. In addition, to accommodate the water feature, the proposed project will require minor modification to existing plumbing and electrical lines. The proposed project does not include a floor area expansion or a change to the existing occupancy load.
It is anticipated that construction of the proposed project will begin May 2014 and last for approximately four weeks. Due to its limited scope, construction of the proposed project will generate a minor amount of vehicle trips, and, in turn, will not result in any impacts related to air quality, greenhouse gas emissions, or traffic. The applicant will be responsible for complying with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regulating construction demolition debris recycling, hazardous materials, and stormwater.
