Document Description
Approval of a Temporary Authorization by the Department of Toxic Substance Control (DTSC) pursuant to California Code of Regulations (CCR) Section 66270.42 (e)(3) that authorizes the installation and operation of a Gala Centrifugal Pellet Dryer Model 5048 (Dryer) to be located at the Battery Wrecker Unit within the Quemetco Facility (Facility). The addition of the Dryer is deemed necessary to allow the operator of the Facility to remove moisture from crushed plastic battery casings prior to transfer of the plastic to trailer trucks for off-site shipment. The Temporary Authorization shall have a term of not more than 180 days.
