Tylerhorse Wind Project

Note: Review per lead Heartland Wind, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Iberdrola Renewables, LLC, is proposing to develop an 1,207-acre wind energy project in Kern County, CA on lands administered by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM). The Proposed Action would consist of 40 wind turbine generators designed to produce up to 60 megawatts of energy. The substation, switchyard, operations and maintenance facility, and construction lay down areas would be located on the adjacent Manzana Wind Energy Project or Pacific Wind Energy Project site. The Proposed Action would result in approximately 195 acres of ground disturbance. The Proposed Action would also involve an amendment to the BLM CA Desert Conservation Area Plan (CDCA Plan) to identify the Project site suitable for wind energy development.
