West Antioch Creek Channel Improvements Projects (Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2014-0350-R3)

CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement no. 1600-2014-0350-R3, pursuant to section 1602 of the fish and game code to the project applicant, City of Antioch as represented by Ron Bernal. The project is limited to the improvement of the West Antioch Creek Flood Control Channel and replacement of a previously existing culvert under West 10th Street with a 4 barrel, pre-cast structure. Each barrel is 14 ft long and 7 ft high and the entire structure is approximately 100 ft long. The project will also include upstream sloped wingwalls that vary from 15 ft in height to 2 ft in height and downstream wingwalls that vary from 21.6 ft in height to 2 ft in height. The pre-cast structures will be backfilled with 200 cubic yards of native soil. Two-forty ft long aprons will be installed at the upstream end and the downstream end. Approximately 1,200 cubic yards of sediment will be removed to accommodate construction of the project from within the banks of the channel. The project also consists of the conversion of 400 linear ft of existing concrete lined channel into earthen bottom channel and the daylighting of an additional 240 linear ft of earthen bottom channel. Approximately 5,000 cubic yds of sediment and debris will be removed to accommodate the conversion of the new channel.
