Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2014-0173-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, County of Lake. The project is limited to the construction of temporary low water crossings within the creek channel to ensure seasonal access and connect existing roads. The creek crossings are established each year to accommodate agricultural operations. Gravel from within the streambed will be used to build the low water crossings during the summer months, once the creek is dry. In the fall, the gravel material will be removed from the creek down to the existing channel depth and will be stockpiled and stabilized in an upland location to be used again next year. The creek crossings will be constructed with the minimum amount of gravel necessary to support one-way vehicle/equipment access. This project is undertaken in accordance with the existing Lake County Conditional Use Permit GR 13-048, to allow vehicle traffic to pass through the streambed during summer months for agricultural access.
