Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2014-0212-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Yuba County Public Works Dept. The project is limited to the replacement of the existing bridge on New York House Road over Dry Creek. The new bridge will be a three-span, cast-in-place concrete slab, approx. 10 to 12-feet below grade and extend approx. 16-feet back along the edges of the wing walls. The abutments and bents will be supported on spread footing placed a minimum 2-feet into intact rock. A temporary water crossing will be needed to conduct work. The crossing will be constructed of culverts and clean fill material. A cofferdam will be used to divert stream flows during construction. The new bridge will require construction and realignment of the approach roadways, approx. 225 feet on both sides of the bridge. Work on the approach roadways will include the removal of the existing pavement, replacement of any failed roadway based areas, and the placement of new hot mix asphalt pavement. utilities, including an overhead telephone line and water lines will require relocation as well.
