Document Description
Note Reference SCH# 2011122080
The proposal is a sewer infrastructure project within the unincorporated area of Stanislaus County's Airport Neighborhood. The Neighborhood is a disadvantaged community on the southeast side of the City of Modesto with approximately 416 parcels (predominantly residential) that rely on septic tanks for treatment of sewage. The project is proposed in response to health and safety concerns associated with failing septic systems. The project will include the installation of a sewer system with approximately 23,000 linear feet of sewer main and street overlays. This will allow for individual sewer connections and removal of existing septic systems and may provide an opportunity to connect to area commercial and industrial properties in the future. The new sewer infrastructure will connect into the City of Modesto's existing public sewer system. The project was circulated for CEQA purposes in July of 2012 (SCH# 2011122080). A Neg Dec was adopted on October 2, 2012.
