Document Description
The project is implementation of a RP for excavation and offsite disposal of the impacted soil at the Oak Creek Development Project. The recommended remedy for the site also include a Land Use Covenant to prohibit the use of ground water under the entire Site. - excavate approximately 346 bank "in situ" cy of impacted soil from identified locations - if necessary, segregate and stockpile impacted soils that contain the chemicals of concerns at concentrations greater than the site-specific cleanup goals presented in Section 4.4 of the Final RP. - conduct confirmation soil sampling, compare confirmation data to the cleanup goals, and excavate additional volume until the cleanup goals are met; - load and transport approximately 346 bank "in situ" cy of impacted soil to an appropriate disposal facility; and if necessary, grade, backfill and compact previously excavated areas using clean import fill material. Obtaining the import fill material will be accordance with the current local government agency and DTSC guidance on import fill material. - depending on soil types, the soil volume may be increased 10% - 25% after digging. As a rule of thumb, 1 cy of soil in natural/undisturbed state (bank "in situ" cy) equals 1.25 cy after digging (loose "fluff" cy) and equals 0.9 cy after compaction.
