The goal of the proposed WWCRP is to stabilize Wagon Wheel Creek for resource management purposes in order to protect the remaining oak and sycamore woodland and other riparian vegetation; to protect the park and the recreational resources from flooding and to limit erosion hazards; and to ensure public safety within Riley Wilderness Park. These improvements would be accomplished through strategically placing specific improvements within Wagon Wheel Creek, including bank stabilization, invert stabilization structures, and other methods.
