Document Description
Caltrans proposes to improve the intersection of SR190 and Road 152 (Bliss Lane) east of Tipton in Tulare County (PM 4.05/5.) by constructing a single-lane roundabout. The purpose of this project is to improve safety by reducing the number & severity of traffic collisions at this location. The roundabout consists of a central island, outside shoulders, a truck apron, four splitter islands with pedestrian refuges, sidewalks & curb ramps on each corner, improvements to about 1 mile of SR190 & about 1,200 feet of Road 152 (Bliss Lane), and a storm water drainage basin east of Road 152 (Bliss Lane). About 7 acres of right-of-way would be acquired and public utilities may be relocated.
