Note: 1 CD & Response to Comments The proposed project is both a Specific and Community Plan that encompasses ~8,010 acres in southwestern Kern County, CA. The project includes up to 12,000 residences (single family and multi family units) and 5,100,000 sf of commercial/industrial development. In addition, a total of 157 acres of the project site would be set aside for schools and up to 112 acres for parks. Other public facilities, including fire stations, a sheriff substation, transit facilities/park and rides, and water and wastewater treatment facilities, are proposed in the new Grapevine community.
