Note: Response to Comments The proposed project would involve development, by the University's public/private partner, or a complex consisting of a hotel and conference center on a currently vacant piece of property (the Project site) on the southern portion of the CA State University, Bakersfield (CSUB) campus. The hotel would be four or five stories, 85,000 to 87,000 sf, would have occupy between four to six acres of the Project site, which is located north of Camino Media between Roadrunner Drive and Scarlet Oak Boulevard. The 2007 CSUB Master Plan identifies the site as one of a number of such public/private development sites fronting Camino Media.
