The Sierra Institute for Community and Environment requests $350,000 in funding from the Sierra Nevada Conservancy's Proposition 84 Safe Drinking Water, Water Quality and Supply, Flood Control, River and Coastal Protection Grant Program for construction and operation of a wood proecessing facility to convert forest biomass (woody renewables consisting of small diameter wood matter from forest thinning projects in Plumas County) into conditioned wood chips to fuel boilers within the County.
