Document Description
Request for approval of a General Plan Amendment, Rezoning, Major Subdivision, and Final Development Plan to construct the Saranap Village Mixed-Use Project in the unincorporated community of Saranap in central Contra Costa County. The original proposal analyzed in the draft EIR was for 235 multi-family units, approximately 44,000 sf of neighborhood-oriented retail, and significant right-of-way improvements. The County is recirculating portions of the draft EIR to address comments received on the Aesthetics analysis; analyze a new "Mitigated Alternative" that consists of 196 multi-family units, approximately 22,000 sf of retail, and right-of-way improvements similar to those originally proposed; and analyze a reclassification of Boulevard Way from "arterial" to "collector" with accompanying changes to the text of the County General Plan.
