Pipeline 3, 4, and 5 Relining: San Luis Rey River

The proposed project consists of the installation of collapsed welded steel liners in three existing water pipelines that make up the Water Authority's Second San Diego Aqueduct. The relining would be performed underground, within the existing pipelines, but worker and equipment access to the interior of the pipelines requires excavation to establish access portals that are grouped at two locations along the alignment. Other above-ground activities would include worker and equipment access at existing manhole stations and blow-off valves stations along the project alignment, equipment storage, and activity at specified staging areas.
