The project is the reconstruction, modernization and expansion of an existing elementary school which serves kindergarten through sixth grade and is located in southwest Bakersfield. As proposed, the project would expand the existing 10,481 sf school to accommodate 18,424 sf of site-built portable buildings and 19,680 sf of factory built portable buildings on an 8.93 acre site. Several of the existing buildings will be demolished and new, modern buildings will be constructed.
