Document Description
Create a 2.5 mile long shaded fuel break along San Juan Canyon Road, approximately 10 miles from San Juan Bautista in a very high priority area for hazard fuel reduction treatment, as identified in the San Benito County Community Wildfire Protection Plan (SBCCWPP). This project will reduce fire risk and intensity in the areaand improve access on fire evacuation routes. Work will remove ladder fuels within 10 feet on either side of the 20 foot wide roadway to create a total fuel break width of 40 feet. Trees less than 6"dbh will be cut low to the ground.
