Document Description
The project is limited to the removal of a failed 30-inch by 30-foot long culvert and Humboldt crossing and installation of a new, 48-inch culvert designed to accommodate 100-year flows. Rock energy dissipaters, composed of 12 to 36-inch diameter rock, will be installed at the outlet of the new culvert to minimize future outlet erosion. The rock energy dissipaters will extend approximately 10 feet downstream of the pipe outlet. The culvert inlet and outlet will also be armored using 12-inch diameter or larger rock. A total of about 85 CY of fill (rock and sediment) will be placed to complete the culvert repair, and 75 CY of fill will be removed from the site.
