Document Description
The project is to conduct an approximately 8 square mile 3D seismic survey over lands situated in the western region of Ventura County, CA including McGrath and Mandalay State Beaches. Venoco owns and is the acting lessee/operator of an Oil and Gas Lease underlying all of the State's lands. Venoco will access State Parks property utilizing existing road and trails or at points of access designated by the State Representative. An estimated 75 wireless receiver nodes will be buried through McGrath and Mandalay SB. Exact placement of receiver nodes will be dependent on current field conditions. Following placement of receiver nodes, 4 Fibrosis trucks will perform ground vibrations from existing road trails. A Right of Entry Permit will be issued for this project. DPR standard project requirements have been incorporated into this project and can be obtained by contacting the environmental coordinator.

The action falls under the Departmental List of Exempt activities according to CEQA § 15300.4 as outlined in the Department of Operations Manual.
