Document Description
The proposed project is the second annual Mariachi Festival and Competition, which will take place at Pepper Park in the City of National City on Saturday, March 15, 2014. The District will provide event sponsorship and financial assistance for the event, a community-friendly festival that will provide entertainment for families to come together and celebrate San Diego's Mexican heritage through mariachi music and traditional ballet folklorico dancing. The festival will highlight mariachi music in the schools by showcasing mariachi student groups from throughout the United States and Mexico. The festival will also celebrate Mexican arts, culture, and culinary delights.
