Document Description
The existing campus electrical infrastructure has not had a major upgrade since the campus moved to its current location in 1953, and has surpassed its useful service life. The purpose of this project is to ensure that electrical utilities are in place to meet the current demand, and provide long term infrastructure capable of supporting planned growth, consistent with the campus master plan, to the target year of 2008.
This project includes replacement of the main campus substation, campus distribution system, building substaions and generators. The scope also includes installing a new central power managements control system with individual building metering.
