Document Description
The hazardous waste to be treated is approximately 100 grams of pioric acid in a container. Pioric acid is a shock sensitive material and should be stabilized prior to being transported offsite. The container of pioric acid is expired and is currently being stored inside a laboratory, previously operated by Solopower located at 5981 OIptical Court in San Jose. THe treatment of these items will be carried out by Clean Harbor Environmental Services (CHES) and involves the addition of water and alcohol to the container to reduce the reactive characteristics.
