Document Description
The District currently has 326 active service connections, 51 of which have meters installed and 275 without meters. The 51 service connections with meters are billed based on usage (meter reads) while the remaining are billed on a flat-rate basis. Of the 51 connections, 38 are single-family residential (SFR), four are multifamily residential (MFR), and the remaining are industrial and commercial connections. The District's proposed metering program consists of installing water meters with AMR capabilities at all 275 connections that are currently without a water meter. The District is also considering, as an alternative, replacing the existing 38 SFR and four MFR meters with new meters that also have AMR capability to standardize the District's metering and billing operation. The beneficiaries of this project will be all of the water customers within the District.
