The Metropolitan Board of Directors has authorized the General Manager to modify an existing settlement agreement with the City of Monterey Park. The amended settlement agreement would lift operational restrictions on the Garvey Reservoir, lease 0.2 acre of Metropolitan-owned land to the City of Monterey Park, and grant the City of Monterey Park the right to use the leased land for construction of a dog park and additional improvements.

The proposed project consists of replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced. The proposed project consists of construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures; installation of small new equipment and facilities in small structures; and the conversion of existing small structures from one use to another where only minor modifications are made in exterior of the structure. The proposed project consists of public or private alterations in the condition of land, water, and/or vegetation, which do not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees.
