Document Description
A declaration of water shortage emergency is proposed due to current hydrologic conditions. Therefore the following actions are necessary: Amendment to Agency Rules, Regulations and Rates and Charges to discourage waste, defined as persistent run off from the customer's property, and allow for water service to be reduced in a manner eliminating the waste if the customer is not responsive to written notification from the Agency; All water availability letters, new connection agreements and Facilities Agreements issued during the Drought Emergency shall include language prohibiting the installation of new landscaping, water features and/or pools until the Drought Emergency condition is declared terminated; No new applications for canal water service or increases in miners inch deliveries shall be accepted, and existing applications shall be approved, if at all, only on the condition that connections for delivery of water shall not be installed until such time as the Drought Emergency is declared terminated.
