Document Description
The project is to replace the deteriorated and leaking room at restroom facility #3 at San Buenaventura State Beach. The restroom is located along the center circle of the day use area of the park. The skylights are broken and pose a danger to visitors as they are brittle and breaking apart. visitors and employees may be in danger of falling debris from the roof and skylights. Improvements will include the removal of existing Built-up Roof (BUR) gravel roof down to wood deck and installation of a new single-ply membrane. Old broken skylights will be replaced with new skylight domes. Inspection of roof deck for signs of dry rot, gaps, cracks or termite damage and subsequent repair may be necessary. DPR standard project requirements have been incorporated into this project and can be obtained by contacting the environmental coordinator.

The action falls under Departmental List of Exempt activities according to CEQA §15300.4 as outlined in the Department of Operations Manual, Chapter 0600:
"Building (non-historical) or fence repairs" (Class 1, Section 15301)
"Reroofing" (Class 2, Section 15302).
