Peeler Pole Fencing (13/14-SD-24)
NOE - Notice of Exemption
Peeler Pole Fencing will be built adjacent to the Camp Store at South Carlsbad State Beach Campground to protect nearby biological resources and to direct heavy foot traffic to cross the park road at one specifically marked area, where there will be a four foot opening. Installing the fencing will require digging holes eight inches in diameter and approximately 2 feet deep. The holes will be dug using a gas powered auger and by shovel where needed. The fence posts will be secured with cement.
No potential for significant impact to the environment is anticipated in compliance with CEQA §15300.2. If the project is implemented as indicated within the project description including conditions provided by CDPR specialists, then it is exempt under CEQA §15303 - New Construction. The action falls under the Departmental List of Exempt Activities according to CEQA §15300.4 as:
"Construction or installation of park facilities such as fencing" (Class 3, Section 15303)
