Document Description
The project is to construct a spray park in an existing park. The spray park would consist of a 2,400 square foot concrete slab with six above-ground fountain features. The water used in the spray park will drain into a leach field. The purpose of the project is to provide recreational opportunities for the community. The beneficiaries of the project are the community and the citizens of Orland.

The project has been determined to be exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as it meets the criteria established in §15301, §15302(e) of the CEQA Guidelines. The project involves minor alteration of an existing public facility (park). The project is exempt per §15301 of the CEQA Guidelines, because the project would lead to a negligible expansion of an existing use Per §15302(c) of the CEQA Guidelines, the project is exempt, because the spray park will be reconstructing part of the park facilities with no expansion of capacity. The project which consists of a 2,500 square foot concrete slab and six above-ground fountains is exempt due to the amenities of the spray park being accessory structures which per §15303(e) of the CEQA Guidelines includes patios and swimming pools.
