Document Description
The project goal is to protect, expand and connect cold-waterr refugia for coho salmon in the Shasta River from Parks Creek confluence to Dwinnell Dam. This grant is funding the planning/assessment for this reach and will find feasible project solutions by implementing the following: 1) Developing a Project Workgroup consisting of landowners, agencies, academia and others to collaboratively identify and priortize water management and habitat restoration projects. 2) Developing an existing conditions memo that synthesizes existing information and informs decision making. 3) Developing objective criteria for ranking projects. 4) Developing a list of priority projects for implementation. 5) Conducting feasibility analysis for more complex project types and scopes. 6) Designing the high priority projects.
