Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (Department) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2014-0274-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, City of Williams Department of Public Works.
The overall project consists of the construction of a new public road to extend Margurite Street from Ella Street to State Route (SR) 20 and provide a new road connection to SR 20. Work within the jurisdiction of the Department includes the construction of a double (4' x 6' x 140') cast-in-place reinforced concrete box culvert over the GCID to allow for the extension of the Margurite Street to SR 20. Maximum excavation for the installation of the culvert shall be 8-10 feet. The proposed culvert will result in 0.02 acres of temporary impacts and 0.02 acres of permanent impacts. Installation of the culvert will require that the GCID be dewatered. The diversion will consist of a sandbagged coffer dam using an 18 inch High-density polyethylene (HDPE) to bypass the water through the construction area.
