Document Description
Geysers Power Company is proposing a new steam pipeline that will connect the Bear Canyon and Unit 16 power plants. The purpose of the pipeline is to facilitate steam transfer between the two power plants. The pipeline will be approximately 4,200 feet long and will be above ground. The pipeline will follow existing roads for 2,650 feet of the route. 1,350 feet of the route will be cross country, necessitating clearing of native vegetation. The route will cross over Bear Creek using a pipeline bridge. A 600 foot section of the pipeline will cross federally-owned land under the jurisdiction of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).
