Document Description
The proposed Ordinance Amendments to the LUDC and the Uniform Rules for Agricultural Preserves and Farmland Security Zones would allow for the small scale processing of agricultural products from a raw from to a milled liquid form. Proposed development standards include the requirement that processing be limited to simple mechanical processing to convert fruit from a solid to a liquid without additives, chemical reactions or changes in natural ambient temperatures. The LUDC amendments would apply to all parcels located within the inland area of the County zoned AG-1 and AG-II. The Uniform Rules amendments would apply to parcels which are under Williamson Act Contracts. The proposed Conditional Use permit would allow for an onsite olive oil processing facility located on APN 141-042-012. The facility would mill raw olives grown both on and off the premises into olive oil and would comply with the proposed development standards included in the proposed Ordinance Amendments. The facility would encompass 8,640 sf of on-site structural development located within three existing horse barns of 2,880 sf each with a maximum height of 22 feet. No grading, tree or vegetation removal is proposed.
