The project involves the replacement of approximately 5,700 linear feet of sewer line presently located in the active channel of the Santa Clara River. The new sewer line would be constructed in adjacent upland areas located on or along the north bank of the Santa Clara River. The existing sewer line would be taken out of operation, then capped and left in place in accordance with applicable requirements. All exposed portions of the existing manholes associated with the existing sewer line would be removed. In summary, each manhole would be capped and cut approximately two feet below the existing bed elevation of the River.
