Document Description
The division of a 146-acre parcel into two parcels (5-acre Parcel No. 1 and 137.53-acre Parcel No. 2. The property is at the base of Rocky Hill, which is known to contain Native American rock art. An Archaeological Survey of two five-acre portions of the subject property, including Parcel No. 1, was prepared in August 2013. Mitigation measures include inspection of a specific building site(s) and access drive(s) by a qualified archaeologist, avoidance of known cultural resources, and a focused biological survey of building sites and access drives. Other mitigation measures are incorporated to avoid the "taking" of any nesting birds or special-status plants. The site is within Agricultural Preserve No. 4168, Land Conservation Contract No. 1532 and a condition of approval require that the 5-acre parcel be partially non-renewed. The land division project may result in the construction of one residence on the 5-acre parcel and two-four additional residences on the 137.53-acre agricultural parcel, if cost-effective. Grazing would continue on the property.
