Document Description
The purpose of this shaded fuel break project is to reduce the volume of fuels along both sides of an overgrown fire road that has not been maintained since 1985. The reduction in ladder fuels and brush continuity will reduce fire intensity and improve the effectiveness of air tanker drops in the event of a wildfire. The project will occur along the three-mile long Old Ridge Road that runs along the crest that separates the Dry Creek and Pickle Canyon Watersheds.
